Taking the first step in seeking psychological treatment can be challenging. There is uncertainty around what to expect and whether the approach will work for your issues and areas of concern. Finding a good fit therapist to work with is key, as the relationship dynamic is part of the therapeutic process.

Christine takes a non-pathologising approach to treatment, seeking to facilitate clients to understand and address underlying issues that are contributing to current symptoms. She will work with you to find the best therapeutic approach for your needs. She has a preference for experiential psychotherapies, including Internal Family Systems Therapy, Coherence Therapy, Sandplay Therapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. Her professional experience and training also allow a range of skills from other treatment approaches to be drawn upon, including neuroscience informed therapy.

Length of treatment varies according to individual need. Some clients attend for one or two sessions; however, most clients gain significant benefits from 10-20 sessions. Clients with complex trauma or more severe symptoms may continue in treatment for an extended period, gradually working through their experiences and concerns.
